BAE Systems Desktop Support Technician in Greenlawn, New York

Job Description

Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel. May be needed to provide Service Desk support during surge periods

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School Diploma and5years work experience or equivalent experience

Extensive knowledge of PC Hardware

Extensive knowledge of Window OS (Win10 Win11)

Excellent Working Knowledge of M365 and OneDrive Environments.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of network infrastructure network routers, switches, WAPs, protocols

Working knowledge of Linux OS

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Associates Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with 3 yrs. experience

Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with 2 yrs. experience

CompTIA A certified

Working knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing system.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $59520 - $95280

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
