Excela Health NURSE PRACTITIONER III PTE-ADVANCED WOUND- PART TIME in Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Description
Knowledge and expertise to identify appropriate etiology of wounds, i.e. neuropathic, diabetic, venous, arterial, pressure, lymphedema, infections, burns, atypical wounds, autoimmune disorder ulcers, malignant wounds.
Knowledge and expertise to choose and apply appropriate dressings, i.e. topical agents, Negative pressure wound therapy, Cellular tissue products, etc.
Knowledge of appropriate action with complications of healing, ability to identify infections and use appropriate antibiotics.
Use of biophysical technology, i.e. electrical stimulation, ultrasound, etc.
Assessment, evaluation of patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Knowledge and expertise of appropriate nutrition management, pressure reduction applications, compression therapy.
Knowledge and Lymphedema management.
Expertise in surgical / wound debridement, wound biopsy, ankle-brachial and toe-brachial index measurements.
Knowledge of appropriate use of offloading devices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
One (1) or more years of wound care experience
Completion of an accredited wound care program.
Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) preferred.
Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Nurse preferred

- Masters or better in NURSING
