WESTMORELAND COMMUNITY ACTION Re-entry Supervisor in Greensburg, Pennsylvania

We are searching for a responsible and depndable candidate for our Re-entry Supervisor opening. As the Re-entry Supervisor, you will oversee staff and assist community residents who are being released from a correctional facility or forensic history that hinders permanent housing. You will supervise staff and coordinate housing servies, collaborate with area providers, and provide structure, stability, and support while program residents work toward permanent housing. Using your eduation and/or experience in case work, you will accomplish this support by:

  • Supervising, mentoring, and training program staff to ensure they deliver quality service,
  • Completing administrative tasks to ensure Re-entry is opporating in accordince with Community Support Program principles,
  • Collaborating with local providers to ensure continuity of program participant care, and
  • Assisting program participants in reviewing service plan goals, and providing resources and support.

We (Westmoreland Community Action) are a non-profit organization that works to connect individuals and families to opportunities and resources throughout the community to improve their quality of life and help to reduce poverty in the community. This is accomplished through housing, counseling, support, education, intervention, collaborations, partnerships, information, referrals, and networking.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with major course work in either sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, counseling, education or a related field *OR *one year of previous casework experience, preferably in mental health.
  • Direct experience in crisis intervention with the ability to assess crisis situations, respond by providing appropriate counseling, assist in resolving crisis situations and arranging for efficient referral and follow-up services.
  • Knowledge of counseling skills.
    • Knowledge of the components of family therapy and dialectic and cognitive behavioral therapy helpful.
  • Administrative and computer and knowledge and skills.
  • Valid PA Driver's License required and must carry $15,000/$30,000 bodily liability car insurance.
