Location: Greenville, NC

How will you make an impact?

Lead and coordinate Operations for compounding, vial and syringe filling lines, and freeze dryer operations in a Steriles Operations building. Provide technical and managerial mentorship while implementing operational strategies. Collaborate with business unit leaders to support overall client and business unit goals.

What will you do?

  • Provide leadership to assigned staff by performing the following: leading organizational change; developing and empowering staff; cultivating relationships; putting staff in a position to succeed, meeting their personal career goals while also achieving interpersonal goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.

  • Lead, plan, implement, and coordinate activities vital to provide products that meet quality specifications and are produced at optimum production costs along with meeting client expectations. Ensure proper response and methods are used on all situations that may occur to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure all production operations and equipment are controlled, validated, and in regulatory compliance and appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch record documents exist and are followed and reviewed regularly.

  • Lead to budget targets while providing production with adequate resources in facilities, equipment, and personnel to meet demand as laid out in production schedules and plans. Evaluate production efficiencies, variances, and procedures on a continuous basis for process improvement. Account for ensuring Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) compliance of manufacturing operations to include operating procedures.

  • Support development and drive implementation of strategic plans that will grow the business with existing customer.

  • Support planning for the company by identifying capital needs, efficiency improvements, and long-term growth plans based upon the company’s financial objectives.

How you will get here:

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Operations Management or related field or equivalent experience required

Experience

  • 8+ years of operations experience, quality experience or other related experience

  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly preferred.

  • 2+ years of management experience.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Good organizational change skills, as well as good people management/development skills.

  • Good knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

  • Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Effective external communication with other company sites and clients.
