Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Greenville, South Carolina

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Project Coordinator in the Construction industry based in Greenville, South Carolina. This role involves a variety of tasks related to project management, including writing purchase orders, helping with permits, and other outside vendor communication.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in project coordination, ensuring smooth operation for Project Managers.

• Handle the processing of owner contracts and change orders.

• Write subcontracts and Purchase Orders (POs).

• Assist with the preparation of permit packets and request checks when needed.

• Perform account reconciliation and ensure accurate customer credit records.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable along with invoice processing.

• Oversee the insurance requirements of projects, ensuring they are met.

• Request notices of commencements as required.

• Participate in project closeouts and provide Operation & Maintenance (O& M) handouts to owners.

• Perform data entry tasks including scanning and printing plans.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar within the Construction/Contractor industry.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in Billing and Invoice Processing is required.

• Strong Data Entry skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing financial data.

• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Must hold relevant certifications or be willing to pursue them.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of industry-specific accounting software would be an advantage.
