Required Skills

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance services provided by our Traylor Industrial to our industrial clients. You will lead a team of maintenance personnel and ensure that maintenance operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and according to client specifications.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate maintenance service activities for industrial facilities.

  • Supervise and provide guidance to maintenance personnel, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions as needed.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their maintenance requirements and ensure that services are delivered to meet their expectations.

  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to achieve cost-effective operations.

  • Prepare estimates using company template and standards.

  • Develop schedules for maintenance work.

  • Ensure projects are invoiced timely and accurately.

  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for maintenance staff and adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate procurement to ensure timely availability of spare parts and materials required for maintenance activities.

  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks accordingly.

  • Perform any required internal/external reporting.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in maintenance techniques and equipment.

    Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred and / or applicable work experience.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Power, Oil, Gas, Chemical experience is a plus.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance technicians.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Solid understanding of maintenance principles, practices, and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to industrial maintenance operations.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Physical Demands

  • The position requires continuous travel for maintenance work within an approximate 2-hour radius of the Greenville, SC office.

  • Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift.

  • Required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly.
