What You Will Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Engineer – F-16 Team Lead at Lockheed Martin, you will drive process improvements, optimize manufacturing efficiency, and implement data-driven solutions for the F-16 program. Collaborating across production and engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in enhancing quality, reducing production time, and supporting one of the aerospace industry’s most iconic programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead impactful initiatives while contributing to cutting-edge aerospace innovation.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, plan, and implement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce standard and non-standard production hours.

- Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to address challenges, develop solutions, and ensure alignment on process improvement strategies.

- Use data-driven methodologies to identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvements, and corrective actions.

- Develop and execute corrective action plans to address production issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.

- Provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement innovative solutions.

- Serve as a resource and mentor to other team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.

- Uphold Lockheed Martin’s quality standards by ensuring all process improvements and manufacturing activities comply with company and regulatory requirements.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with 14 years of professional experience, 12 years of professional experience with a Masters degree, or 16 years of experience with no Bachelors Degree

8 years experience in implementing process improvements and corrective actions

5 years experience in project management environment

Experience leading a team

Experience in developing and interpreting data to identify trends

Experience interacting with senior personnel

Desired Skills:

Proven experience in accomplishing strategic initiatives

Experience working with international co-producers

5 years experience in technical lead role

10 years experience in aerospace environment

10 years experience as a manufacturing engineer

Cross functional experience in root cause corrective action

Experience in interpreting tool designs and engineering requirements

Previous experience in developing and incorporating standardized practices to drive efficiency

Experience as a subject matter expert in root cause analysis

Proven experience in developing and revising policies and procedures

Experience in mentoring engineers on root cause corrective action

Experience in developing and incorporating technological advances

Ability to develop assignments based on long-range goals and objectives

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
