Robert Half Sr. IT Auditor in Greenville, South Carolina

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. IT Auditor in the financial industry, located in Greenville, South Carolina. This role involves conducting comprehensive audits of our information systems, applications, and IT infrastructure to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The successful candidate will be adept at managing IT audit projects, assessing IT controls, and staying current with industry trends and best practices in IT auditing and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct IT audit projects, including risk assessment, audit scope, and objective setting.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements to mitigate risks.

• Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Perform audits of information systems, applications, and IT infrastructure, including networks, databases, and security systems.

• Prepare detailed audit reports, summarizing findings, and providing actionable recommendations for management.

• Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to implement corrective actions and monitor their progress.

• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in IT auditing and cybersecurity.

• Assist in the development and implementation of IT audit methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

• Preferred certifications: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor certification, CISSP certification is mandatory

• Proficiency in Data Extraction is necessary

• Ability to Automate Processes is essential

• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley is required

• Experience in Audit - Information Systems is necessary

• Prior experience in the banking industry is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Ability to work in a team and independently is essential

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Proven knowledge of IT audit and assurance standards and regulations is necessary

• Understanding of risk and control concepts is essential

• Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite is required

• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly is essential

• Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills is necessary.
