Schedule: Full time M-F with 9/80 Friday

Job Requirements:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Financial Accountant in the L3Harris Integrated Surveillance and Reconnaissance sector. This organization supports general ledger, revenue recognition, financial reporting and internal controls for multiple business units within the sector.

The skills and job requirements include the following:

  • Proficient accounting knowledge

  • Works both autonomously and with a team to complete all tasks with general supervision

  • Collaborates with the business to deliver efficient, accurate and compliant accounting

  • Researches issues and proposes corrective actions or transactions

  • Coordinates month end closing activities to ensure reporting deadlines are met

  • Prepares routine journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations

  • Develops and/or documents processes as required

  • Supports internal and external audit requests

  • Performs special assignments and ad hoc analyses as needed

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Accounting or related field

    Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate in person and remotely via phone or web meeting

  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Experience in continuous improvement and process development

  • CPA Certification or qualification to sit for the CPA exam is preferred

  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical and research skills while leveraging technology such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx or other similar tools

  • Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute to completion

  • Flexible planner in terms of daily activities with ability to adeptly react to changing requirements and priorities

  • Exceptional organizational skills enabling monitoring of key due dates and activities

  • Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals
