Job Description:

  • Performs functional test support operations based on standard operating and test procedures.

  • Performs technical duties in operating, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and aligning of electronic equipment.

  • Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.

  • May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.

    Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the test and evaluation of Group B electronic equipment and components.

  • Must be able to read and understand all detailed work instructions, drawings, schematics, and procedures and perform computer related tasks with minimal assistance.

  • May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify processes.

  • Assemble, configure, test, operate, and repair hardware in accordance with documentation provided.

  • Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to support general laboratory test and evaluation operations (Multimeter, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.).

  • Perform benchtop functional testing with only the guidance of a test procedure and understand what the procedure is testing.

  • Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipment failures through designated reporting tools.

  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to manager.

  • Support facility operations through the completion of assigned tasks as directed by management.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

  • Clearance Level Required for Position Continuation: Secret

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Must be able to read and understand all applicable work instructions and procedures and perform computer related tasks without assistance.

  • Possess a high level of initiative and willingness to learn.

  • Professional attitude and excellent verbal/written communication skills.

  • Daily schedule and task flexibility with minimal notice.

  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word). Basic networking experience is also preferred.

  • Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.

  • Experience with working in an ESD safe environment.

  • Familiar with standard electronic test and measurement equipment operations.
