Job Description:

  • Systems Engineering position as part of a team that supports the test, and integration, verification and validation of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR platforms.

  • Interfaces with other Systems Engineering, Flight Line Test, Software Engineering, and Project Engineering personnel to understand new baseline functionality.

  • Plans and executes integration, verification and validation testing in a Systems Integration Laboratory and on airborne/ground-based platforms.

  • Verifies and validates new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality still works as intended.

  • Follows existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with the system hardware and software.

  • Verifies fixes to anomalies. Interfaces with customer personnel to ensure their satisfaction with system performance.

  • Works with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.

  • Provides regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to keep management and customer informed.

    Essential Functions:

  • Self-starting and able to work effectively in an independent and in a team environment.

  • Must possess excellent organization, communications, and presentation skills.

  • Considerable Systems or Software Engineering experience with System Interfaces.

  • Able to work w/customer, systems engineers & system architects to meet delivery requirements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.

  • Ability to travel as needed (10% travel expected).

  • Ability to provide support regularly during ground and test flight events.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  • Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator Interfaces.

  • Ability to communicate within and outside the organization which includes customers and vendors.

  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel as needed.

  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain an FAA Class III Flight Physical.

  • Must have current Secret Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Prior experience as an RC-135 DataLink Operator (DLO), Airborne Analyst (AA) or Airborne Mission Supervisor (AMS) a plus.

  • Familiarity with commercial and military broadband communication systems

  • Familiarity with common Tactical Datalink radios/terminals.

  • Able to read, interpret, create, and maintain spreadsheets, charts, reports, investigation and test plans, and procedures

  • Familiarity with signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other advanced test equipment.

  • Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) to technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
