Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Assistant to assist in the full operation of our cake production line. In this role, you will be responsible for operating machinery and performing tasks such as mixing, cutting, icing, touch-up, and packaging to ensure the final product meets high-quality standards. This position involves frequent twisting, bending, standing, and lifting of 40 lbs or more.

Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the cake production line, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish.

  • Rotate through various stations on the production line, mastering each step of the process.

  • Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness in all work areas.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure the final product meets customer specifications.

  • Maintain strict safety standards and accurately log food safety information.

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to quality, safety, and compliance.

  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

  • Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, formulas, and company policies.

  • Proficient in completing routine paperwork and logging information accurately.

  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure (e.g., pounds, ounces, grams, fractions, decimals, and temperatures).

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing production environment.
