Provide daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion in this entry-level Financial Analyst position. What you get to do every day

• Be a factor in ensuring adequate controls and procedures

• Determine and query a wide set of data

• Encourage the monitoring and maintenance of internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements

• Collaborate on annual budgeting process

• Scan defining results at the corporate and division levels

• Might have to demonstrate intricate financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects

• Be conductive in the production of monthly financial reporting and other business data

• Cooperate on a large number of aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)

• Strengthen and evaluate budgets and income statement forecasts

• Work together with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits

• Construct clever alternatives and suggestions to reduce costs and nurture financial performance of a company

  Requirements - Less than one year of experience required

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

  • Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems

• Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

• Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

• Microsoft Excel experience desired

• Strong familiarity with Computer Data Entry

• Foundational knowledge in financial analysis

• Expertise in Loan Products

• Commercial credit experience
