Merrick & Company Business Development Director - Nuclear Projects in Greenwood Village, Colorado

OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking an experienced Business Development Director for our Nuclear Services and Technology (NST) Business Unit (BU). This position will add support for the growth and expansion of NST's business into new territories within our Federal Government contracting market. This position will also support our expansion of business into non-Federal, commercial markets, including aerospace and commercial nuclear research (e.g. medical isotope production). Typical annual pay range for this position is $150,000.00 - $190,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Develop and implement strategies and tactics for identifying clients and opportunities. Execute business development (BD) activities such as market research, market positioning, networking, relationship development, proposal development, teaming, and negotiations that lead to contracts. Develop and implement strategic marketing and business development plans. Identify target markets and clients, generating leads and developing pipelines. Coordinate and cooperate with other Merrick Business Units to identify joint pursuits utilizing skillsets across the Merrick enterprise. Work jointly wit Sr. BD Director and Business Unit Leader with a goal of acquiring new business. Proposal management and capture management. Win contracts! REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree. Ten (10) years in marketing and business development in Engineering or Construction industry. Experience in Business Development with multidisciplinary Architectural and Engineering firms similar in size and services to Merrick. Ability to travel an average of 2x per month. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, and CRM software (preferably Cosential). Client projects for this position require Sole U.S. Citizenship (prohibit Dual Citizenship). Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in any or all of the following markets: National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Department of Energy (DOE) including -EM, -NE, -OS, and -HQ. Medical Isotopes. Nuclear Power. Nuclear R&D. PE, PMP< CPSM, or other relevant technical and/or marketing certifications. Technical or Scientific Degree. International experience.
