Charter Communications, Inc. in Greenwood Village, CO seeks Principal Engineer I to configure and deploy multiple network devices across the Spectrum Network. Work with multiple teams, managing projects and priorities, and continuously learning about new technologies. Maintain network in multiple regions, as well as troubleshoot in the event of issues and work to fix them. Serve as mentor to other junior network engineers on the team. Implement approved network architecture and designs. Contribute in designing corporate standards and develop network enhancements. Work on projects/systems/issues of varying complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization. Provide tier support across organizations. Lead project teams that maintain and improve network operations. Hands on involvement in network planning, network architecture design and engineering. Integrate communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations. Evaluate new products and perform network problem resolution. Assist in the development and documentation of technical standards and implement approved methods of procedure.

Requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. 3 years of experience working on network design; using switching technologies, including VLAN, STP, and VTP; supporting network architecture, including traffic flow and complex troubleshooting; and supporting network protocols using ISIS, BGP, OSPF, PIM, IGMP, and OSI layers 1-4. A hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is available.

Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $112,798/year.
