Job Summary

Oversee and coordinate the activities of a complex custom engineered product production line, prepare schedules, manage workforce, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

What You Will Do:

• Supervise and direct daily activities of production lines workers, assign tasks, provide coordination between different teams, ensure worker safety and monitor their performance to meet all production goals.

• Prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operating procedures, safety and quality standards; ensure all processes and products meet desired safety and quality standards.

• Create reports and records of production processes and document performance issues; develop and maintain metrics communicating production status to production line workers; provide suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality.

• Train new hires, manage scheduling and work conflicts, monitoring safety, and promote internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You Have:

  • Degree Requirement: Technical degree a plus

  • Managing People: Extensive experience in shift production worker Supervision, including time & attendance management, disciplinary actions management, team motivation, rewarding employees and mentoring.

  • Technical Excellence:

  • Knowledge of metal electrical installations, engine repair, equipment performance testing and engineering drawing interpretation.

  • Experience with safe rigging practices and use of cranes, elevated lifts and industrial powered lifts.

  • Understanding of OSHA General Industry requirements and manufacturing safety.

  • Working knowledge of Office 365, specifically SharePoint, TEAMS, Excel and Word.

  • Effective communication: Able to execute clear and effective verbal and written communications to team members, management, suppliers and customers.

  • Influencing through expertise: Knowledge of influencing tactics and strategies to impact decisions within the organization; communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner so others understand. Level Working Knowledge:

  • • Raises awareness of potential bottlenecks and disruptions to the schedule.• Breaks tasks into manageable steps that can be incorporated into a personal work plan.• Escalates concerns over competing or conflicting priorities.• Monitors progress continuously and adjusts tactics for handling situations on a case by case basis.• Creates action plans that ensure the accomplishment of responsibilities.

Additional Information

  • This position will sit in Griffin, GA.

  • This position may require up to 15% travel, primarily domestic.

  • US Domestic relocation assistance is NOT offered for this position.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
