Amentum Asset Manager in Groton, Connecticut

We are seeking a Facilities Asset Administrator team member for our client site in Groton, CT. The successful candidate will have outstanding facilities asset and data management skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best in class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.

Typical work hours for this role are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; hours may vary based on business demand.

You will be responsible for all regulated and non-regulated assets and data management throughout the campus, including scheduling, tagging, tracking asset property changes and moves, prep and delivery to staging area or storage area for disposal and asset delivery to various locations. You will act as the point of contact for all asset management related moves performed at all client locations.

You will work closely with various teams to support work process and project-related tasks. You will serve as the lead for asset moves and vendor coordination. You will provide crucial project support for facility and laboratory teams. You will assist project teams and other team members by providing asset information to properly update associated systems.

As the Asset Management Lead Coordinator you will perform many daily duties, including:

  • Performing asset moves at client campus’ for regulated and non–Regulated equipment.

  • Performing field work related to different job requests including, but not limited to mechanical spaces, roofs, electrical rooms, powerhouse, laboratories, and outdoors.

  • Submitting requests to add new and remove decommissioned equipment to Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.

  • Working with contractors to locate equipment during monthly and yearly testing, as well as new installs and corrective maintenance.

  • Recording and maintaining results within asset management system per contractor’s reports and field findings.

  • Building asset hierarchy for systems and maintain data within database for all sites use as well as assign department’s charge code to individual assets for accurate work order charge back.

  • Printing and placing required bar code labels with asset description on 2x2 or 4x4 metal plates and affix to field equipment with aluminum tie for proper identification.

  • Ensuring temperature transmitter installs/removals, initial /final calibrations, Building Management Systems (BMS) connection/disconnection, Honeywell installs, and compliance validations are completed on all GxP refrigerators, freezers, and incubators.

  • Schedule various activities with outside vendors and track against work orders

  • Delivery, removal, and relocation of assets.

As the Asset Management Lead Coordinator, you will be expected to:

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Experience with asset management in any industry (tagging and data entry).

  • Working knowledge of a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) such as EAMS, MAXIMO, or related database systems.

  • Experience with application software including word-processing and spreadsheet programs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, data entry, scanning, uploading, and filing data and documents into Document Management System.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work and remain organized.

  • Ability to obtain an appropriate Connecticut driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.

  • Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

Some physical requirements include:

  • Ability to move light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets, and other storage locations.

  • Ability to occasionally lift heavy pieces of equipment

  • Repetitive wrist movement.

  • Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.

  • Ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.

  • Ability to attend meetings throughout the site.

  • Ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations.

  • Some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.

  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Business, Construction Management, or Facilities Management or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in work order management.
