Amentum Integrated Submarine Imaging System Specialist in Groton, Connecticut

Are you a mission-driven professional with a passion for excellence? Do you have at least 5 years of experience with the Integrated Submarine Imaging System (ISIS) and hold a Secret clearance? If so, we want you to join our elite team as an AN/BVY-1 ISIS Specialist in Groton, CT!

  • Onsite Installation : Bringing advanced imaging systems to life.

  • Testing & Troubleshooting : Ensuring peak performance and reliability.

  • Repair & Maintenance : Keeping our systems mission-ready.

What Will Your Week Look Like?

  • Inspect & Test : Oversee the installation and evaluation of submarine imaging systems to ensure they meet design specs.

  • Validate & Verify : Perform system integration checks for ISIS and Photonics Mast Variants (PMV), including MTI and LPPM.

  • Develop & Improve : Create technical data, manuals, troubleshooting guides, and update drawings to enhance system maintainability.

  • Implement Changes : Apply Engineering Change Instructions (ECI) to keep systems up-to-date.

  • Train & Mentor : Educate others on system operations and performance.

  • Customer Interface : Lead on-site tasks like installation, testing, and fabrication, ensuring seamless customer interactions.

  • Ensure Compliance : Maintain adherence to engineering standards, plans, and test procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.

  • Five (5) years of practical experience and High School diploma/GED OR Three (3) years practical experience and an associate’s degree in math, sciences, electronics or engineering technology; or formal electronics training from: Technical trade school, military training in electronics or communications, or four-year electronics apprentice program.

  • Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

  • Ability to read engineering documents and technical drawings.

  • Must be proficient with LAN maintenance and management to include switches, routers and structured cable systems.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with Submarine Periscope Systems.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
