We are seeking candidate's for a full-time Submarine C5I Network Engineer openings to support onsite at the Naval Submarine Base New London at Groton, CT. Join Amentum and continue providing hands-on support to some of the most sophisticated equipment the Navy has.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide technical evaluation and perform the required corrective actions for Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) in accordance with DoD, Navy Maintenance Standards, and Cyber System instructions.
Provide support in a variety of engineering tasks in the testing and software development of Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) in accordance with engineering specifications.
Assist with test and evaluation; perform validations/verifications of Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS)
Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions
Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise for software usability and regression testing
Direct on-site customer interface for testing, survey, and other software engineering tasks as needed
Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impact
Provide engineering support in the development of a technical proposal and provide input on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work
Minimum Requirements:
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) or related engineering field.
10 years experience investigating, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes.
Advanced ability with interfacing in a LINUX Shell program.
Functional knowledge of virtual machine environments/applications.
Ability to travel as needed (Up to 20% of the time).
Preferred Qualifications:
US Military systems/network experience.
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
Linux Professional Institute LPIC-3 Virtualization and Containerization.
Demonstrated experience working as and alongside software engineers, specifically with Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) and Submarine Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I).
