More information is available on the company's website at: www.alliant.com. SUMMARY Responsible for the design, development and implementation of the enterprise business intelligence platform. Assists with defining and managing the overall BI solution architecture including data architecture, ETL implementations and reporting solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Designs relational and dimensional enterprise BI data models; * Designs the data integration from source to interactive reports and data visualizations; * Develops and implements the BI architecture which includes data warehousing, OLAP, ETL, ODS, data integration, and report data sets; * Works with business users to understand and translate user stories/requirements into data structures, models and reports; * Determines solutions to business questions through hands-on exploration of data sets via SQL for dashboards, statistical analysis and data visualizations; * Maintains and enhances the enterprise BI data architecture to increase the robustness, performance, and scalability of systems; * Reviews and explores source data as it relates to business concepts as well as how it relates to other data elements; * Maps data from original source to the BI database layer to the presentation database layer and communicates and documents the mapping to guide the BI Developer; * Manages the reporting and analytics platform(s) to ensure that scheduled jobs are successfully run and analytics data aligns to timeliness and completeness of requirements; * Works with database administrators to ensure that databases feeding the reporting platforms are tuned for optimal performance; * Stays current with latest BI industry trends and software versions; * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience Four (4) or more years of experience in an IT BI reporting environment SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to rapidly changing priorities Ability to work in a team and to foster teamwork Demonstrated understanding of system integrations and database structures Solid understanding of ERP systems Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications #LI-KG1 We are proud to provide comprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees' needs now and in the future, including a very competitive financial package.
