National Director, Prospect Development & Strategy Job Location Other-Remote Office ID 2024-11188 Status Full Time Shift Day Schedule Mon - Fri Hours of Work 8am-5pm Responsibilities The National Director, Prospect Development & Strategy will be responsible for the vigorous identification of major, principal, and transformational gift prospects and to create the infrastructure to support significantly more ambitious annual and comprehensive campaign goals. The National Director will be responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the prospect identification process (including grateful patients and families, key influencers and connectors), research and analysis, and tracking. The National Director will play a key role in the major and principal gift fundraising process, and will provide thought leadership with respect to the comprehensive campaign, participating in strategic planning activities, and development of short and long-range goals and objectives. Plan and lead prospect development and strategy activities directly related to major, principal and transformational gift fundraising to advance annual and comprehensive campaign goals Create strategies for identifying new or re-engaged donor candidates, with a focus on patients, families, alumni, and campaign referrals With the Development leadership team, drive pipeline building strategies at the major, principal, and transformational gift levels to advance the comprehensive campaign Leverage wealth screenings, predictive modeling, and other sources to support the campaign planning process and enhance a data-driven approach to prospect management Support a rigorous portfolio management process to measure metrics and progress of relationship managers, as well as annual and campaign goals Partner with Corporate and Foundation program leaders to identify and track new grant and partnership prospects and relationships Partner with Annual and Sustaining program leaders to drive pipeline building strategies, including identifying candidates for upgrade and ensuring effective hand-offs between programs Support regular prospect review and strategy meetings Conduct gift pyramid and prospect pipeline analysis to assess current and prospects needed to achieve goals Build, track, analyze and report on all prospect activities Support the campaign staff and volunteer leadership with campaign pipeline and prospect strategies Provide prospect profiles, including assessment of wealth and philanthropic interests (or grant-making criteria), propensity to support the mission of HBFF, and access and relationship strategies Provide high quality briefings on donors and prospects in advance of meetings and events Develop assessment and measurement strategies and methods to report on the effectiveness of prospect and comprehensive campaign activity Develop and lead projects to streamline and improve internal systems and processes in partnership with operations and data Evaluate existing and new research resources to ensure that the most effective tools are available and utilized.
