Position Overview Primary responsibilities are the maintenance and repair of the processing plant equipment including conveying, crushing, and sizing equipment and associated items. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Completing repair and maintenance assignments safely and effectively.
  • Use of Oxy/Acet cutting torch.
  • Use of various hand tools, power tools, and air tools.
  • Fabrication.
  • Welding experience required.
  • May be required to safely operate heavy equipment as needed in repair activities (man lift, front loader, skid loader, etc).
  • May be required to read blueprints in order to complete necessary repairs.

Other Requirements:

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
