Join our team as an Assembly Technician II in Gulf Breeze, FL( 32563 ) , and play a crucial role in assembling and testing high-quality avionics products. This 6-month position offers a 9-hour first shift with a pay rate of $17.64/hr.

Job Description:

In this role you have the opportunity to become an integral member of the Production Team for the Mission Systems Displays Group, a leading provider of mission-critical avionics and display system solutions.

You are responsible for:

  • The Assembly Technician uses their skills to produce high quality electronic products with accuracy and attention to detail. Main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Assemble and test the company products in accordance with documented work instructions to ensure the units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.

  • Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Interpret assembly drawings and process flow instructions.

  • Must be trained across all assembly stages.

  • Work under minimal supervision.

  • Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals.

  • Resolve most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels.

  • Identify quality and reliability issues and submit recommendations for improvements.

  • Develop personal goals and objectives for continuous improvement in support of Company and Department goals and objectives

  • Maintain workplace organization.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Vocational school or secondary education in electronics technology strongly preferred.

  • Two (2) years prior electronic assembly experience required.

  • Basic computer skills including Word and Excel

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.

  • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.

  • Aerospace/Aviation experience preferred.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach out with hands and arms, to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
