CPS Solutions, LLC Director of Pharmacy 17003 in Gulfport, Mississippi

This is a Director of Pharmacy position located in the Gulfport, MS area. 

Job Summary: As a full-time, exemptCPS Solutions, LLCDirector of Pharmacy, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed-upon programs with assistance from a full support team.

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours a week primarily day shift.

About the Facility: Memorial Hospital Gulfport is a 328 bed Joint Commission accredited public not for profit facility that has been serving the Gulf Coast since 1946. Memorial is committed to advanced care, offering several of the region's most comprehensive clinical programs including a Level III NICU, state designated Level II Trauma Center, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and the Mississippi's first nationally certified Primary Stroke Center. This facility also provides emergency medicine, women's health, pediatrics, orthopedic services, cardiovascular, neuroscience and oncology care. CPS has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.

About the Pharmacy:The pharmacy decentralized and is open 24/7. The pharmacy utilizes Cerner and CareFusion.

Required Qualifications: BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Mississippi State Pharmacist licensure in good standing. 3 to 5 years of management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment, acute care preferred. Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility. Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with Professional organizations. Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff. 

Hospital Requirements: TB Test - Proof of negative TB test within the last 12 months (PPD, QFT, or CXR). (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or a blood titer proving immunity. Varicella - 2 document doses or a blood titer proving immunity. Hep B3 Series (or declination). (Flu) Influenza - required for hire between Oct 1st and April 30th. COVID Vaccine.
