Job Duties:

  1. Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
  2. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 40 lbs. with a total number of 16 rooms cleaned per each full-time shift (averages 30 minutes per each guestroom).
  3. Must respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests.
  4. Makes up rollaway beds and cribs in a vacated room and notifies house attendants for them to be properly stored.
  5. Properly use, keep secure and return the pass key or section master to the Housekeeper at the end of every shift. Keep masters on person at all times.
  6. Keep linen closet and service landings secure.
  7. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
  8. Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
  9. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
  10. Practices chemical safety rules and follows procedures for needles and other hazardous materials.
  11. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.

Qualifications:

  1. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  2. Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
  3. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, as well as guests.
  5. Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines, including the thorough cleaning of a minimum of 12-16 rooms as specified by management.
  6. Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests.
  7. Other Duties as required or assigned.
