Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business.You will be mainly accountable for:Supporting manufacturing transformation activities including layout improvements, tool organization, and visual managementCollaborating with the operations team to strategically solve problems and support on-time delivery of ABB products manufactured to the highest qualityWorking with the team to drive a safety culture by identifying improvements to work areas and processesDocument any best practices discovered and/or standards implemented

Qualifications for the role

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in engineering in the United States.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
