Your role and responsibilities

3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11:30 PM - 8:00 AMPay rate: $24.50 - $26.50 (including $1.50 shift differential)Benefits start Day 1 including Medical, Dental, and Vision. Overtime opportunities available.In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. Each day, you will perform maintenance on equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will utilize available technical documentation of equipment.The work model for the role is: onsite.This role is contributing to the Maintenance Department in Hackettstown, NJ. You will be mainly accountable for:Rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as valves, motors, pneumatic tools, production equipment and machines in accordance with specifications. Working from basic diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturers' specifications and schematics.Proficient use of hand tools (standard/metric sockets, open-ended wrenches, Allen wrenches, screwdriver(s), etc.) Resolve technical issues using machine blueprints/diagramsObserve company safety rules and policies.Perform, as assigned, other similar or related duties.Supporting maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities.Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.

Qualifications for the role

  • It is preferred that you have some experience in troubleshooting electrical issues utilizing voltmeter and some exposure to troubleshooting PLC systems.
  • Ability to demonstrate your knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • You have 3-4 years of experience of hands-on, full-time machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • You are at ease communicating in English.
  • Highly physical position; must be able to walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 40lbs for entirety of shift.
  • You hold current work authorization that would permit you to work for ABB in the US.
