Job Title: Fitter

Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled Fitters to fabricate, fit, and assemble the structural components of various mechanical systems. Fitters are responsible for fitting and joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate fitting techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules. For large or specialized projects, Fitters primarily engage in laying out and assembling subunits or units of materials which are then welded into position by welders. The role also includes ensuring the product is fitted to the specifications of each job and the requirements consistent with the production of quality UT passable welds. Fitters specialize in fitting transmission power poles, Substation A-Frames, High mast poles, Highway sign poles, and other tubular structures.

Hard Skills

  • Fitting experience - Pole fit-up

  • Jib crane operation

  • Blueprint reading

  • Understanding of Camber/Twist

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Haltom City, Texas.

Work Environment

Heavy Industrial Steel Manufacturing facility. The environment is COLD/HOT depending on the time of year and is Non-Climate Controlled.
