Robert Half Payroll Systems Consultant in Hamel, Minnesota

Description We are seeking a Payroll Systems Consultant to manage our payroll operations based in Hamel, Minnesota. This role involves leading a project to transition to outsourced payroll, assessing and updating payroll procedures, and managing relationships with both internal and external agencies. This role is contract-based, offering a short term employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the project to transition to outsourced payroll services, including improving current processes and procedures

• Handling all aspects of payroll operations, including dealing with expat payroll, payroll accounting, and domestic/international payroll taxes

• Maintaining HRIS efficiently in collaboration with relevant departments and serving as the primary contact with third party payroll vendors

• Regularly auditing the accuracy and integrity of the payroll process through data analysis tools and maintaining strong internal controls

• Collaborating with business operations, Legal and HR departments on pay policies and assisting in resolving any business change issues promptly

• Maintaining expertise in regulatory compliance regarding payroll, managing relationships with state, federal, and international agencies, and coordinating with internal/external auditors

• Working closely with external service providers on addressing complex domestic and international payroll tax issues

• Utilizing skills in Ceridian, Dayforce, Ceridian Payroll System, Canadian Payroll, Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), and Project Management. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Ceridian, Dayforce, and Ceridian Payroll System is required

• Must have a solid understanding of Canadian Payroll systems

• Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) is a must

• Should have excellent project management skills

• Must have a proven track record of successful payroll system consulting

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred

• Experience with complex payroll systems and processes is a plus

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Familiarity with payroll-related laws and regulations is necessary

• Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• Should be adaptable to changes in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations is desirable.
