Janicki Industries Inc. Operations Support Specialist in Hamilton, Washington
This position supports operations by developing programs and tools for employee enrichment and supports employee relations while maintaining open lines of communication between production and management. Coordinates the training of pperations employees to meet company and customer requirements or improve employee skillsets. Facilitates development of mentoring opportunities. Supports continuous improvement efforts in all aspects of the facility. We are looking for an Operations Support Specialist to join our growing team.

*POSITION DESCRIPTION - *
The position requires execution of the following essential job functions:
- Provides an open line of communication between technicians, Cell Managers, and Management; works to promote good employee relations.
- Assists the Operations Manager with resume reviews and recommendations including interviews and hiring recommendations.
- Develops tools to increase visibility to strategic organizational objectives.
- Aids in coordination of informal mentoring program.
- Acts as the person of contact for Design, Manufacturing Engineers, and Project Managers in training; coordinates the required tasks to fulfill OJT requirements.
- Reviews, recommends, and interacts with the Company Training Coordinator to create/pursue additional training/enrichment opportunities for all levels of employees and managers.
- Presents training programs from Company Training Coordinator to Technicians and Cell Managers; aids in upkeep of training records; defines and creates training modules as directed to instruct Operations Employees.
- Works with Operations Employees to identify and implement process or tooling methodology improvement ideas, reduce risks, remedy concerns, or answer questions about Janicki Standard Procedures or work orders.
- Interacts with customers, guests, and employees in a welcoming and accommodating manner: providing information, directions, or connections as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Behavior: the incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors. The incumbent must have critical evaluation skills, leadership skills, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to multi-task.
QUALIFICATIONS
Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Technical or college degree preferred.
- Must be detailed oriented, self starter, able to work independently, organized with excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient with MS office suite, with emphasis on Excel. Experience with SAP desirable. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish also is preferred. Must have above average computer skills.
- Prior office experience and or administrative experience in a manufacturing setting are preferred.
- Must have valid driver's license.
Wage range for this role is between $78,000 - $90,000 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
