We have partnered with NASA to support space flight programs for more than 40 years. While the majority of work is directly in support of LaRC, other industry partners and Government agencies may be supported at remote sites as directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). The Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering (CMOE) contract comprises of three major categories of work – operations, maintenance, and engineering (OME).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development and generation of internal and external financial reporting to support government requirements.

  • Involves cost, budget and forecasting at the contract statement of work and NASA organizational levels.

  • Collaborate with managers, directors, and the general manager to develop a cost budget for a government fiscal year.

  • Provides project level reporting for specific tasking under the contract.

Here’s what you’ll need :

U.S. Citizenship required. The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance is required. BS degree in a relative field with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in government contracting and/or administration work. MS Degree with one (1) to two (2) years of relative experience or PhD. with one (1) year of experience. Additional relevant education or certifications may be substituted for experience such as a Contract Administration Certificate.

  • Excellent communication and organizational methods

  • Ability to utilize EXCEL, including pivot tables and formula generation

  • Ability to use and create PowerPoint charts

  • Analytical capability to review cost information and provide guidance on forecasting based on actual cost information

  • Understanding of overhead rates and applications

  • Familiarity with cost systems and data

  • Understanding the basis of estimate concepts

  • Experience using JAMIS and MAXIMO is preferred

  • Familiarity with 533 Financials (NASA) and DRDs (deliverables)

Essential Functions

Work Environment: Office environment (90%). Travel between various facilities is required and may bring exposure to loud noise and potentially hazardous equipment operation (10%). Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, bend, twist and sit for extended periods as well as climb, crawl, and lift up to 35 lbs. May be exposed to areas of high noise levels (15%) Equipment and Machines: Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, copier, etc.) (50%) Safety and personal protective equipment (20%) Attendance: Regular attendance mandatory (100%) Overtime/work outside normal schedule required (5%) Other Essential Functions: Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to balance scope, schedule and budget to insure project success. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety/risk hazard to the employee or others. The work environment requires the ability to cooperate and work with individuals at all levels of the company and the client. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.
