Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our Gabby's Guppies team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development.
Responsibilities
Implement weekly engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Director of center will help plan these.
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
Monitor and assess each child's progress, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Collaborate with parents, specialists, and other educators to support children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
Skills
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and external professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS (applicant must meet one of the following:)
Possess a High School Diploma or GED
Acquire and maintain CPR/First Aid certifications
Pass background checks completed by the Department of Human Services and the Michigan State Police Department
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
