Job Title: Production Assembler

Job Description

Candidates will be working with hand tools to assemble and inspect parts. You will be responsible for ensuring that metal parts meet customer specifications and standards. Daily tasks include handling 25-50 parts, depending on the production requirements. You will follow detailed work instructions to assemble parts correctly and maintain required standards. Additionally, you will need to fill out reports, orders, and reject forms as part of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools to assemble parts.

  • Inspect metal parts to ensure they meet customer specifications.

  • Handle 25-50 parts per day, depending on production needs.

  • Follow work instructions to ensure correct assembly and compliance with standards.

  • Fill out reports, orders, and reject forms accurately.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience using hand tools.

  • 1+ years of experience in parts manufacturing.

  • Ability to use a tape measure (candidates will be tested on this skill during the interview).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, and gauges is preferred.

Work Environment

Shifts are available as follows: First shift typically runs from 6am to 2:30pm, or 4:30am to 3pm if working 10-hour shifts. Second shift runs from 3pm to 11:30pm or 3:30pm to 12am, with 10-hour shifts running from 3pm to 1:30am. New hires usually do not work overtime until they have been with the company for a few weeks. The work environment involves using various hand tools and ensuring safety and quality in all tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hannibal, Missouri.
