The DevOps Engineer is responsible for creating and implementing automation solutions and platform engineering for both cloud-based solutions such as API, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and on-premises environments (physical and virtual) based on business needs and customer requirements. The ideal candidate should have experience in medium to large businesses and be proficient at extracting customer requirements and working with end users/customers. The engineer will partner with various departments in the organization such as application development, enterprise operations, security, and risk management to provide automation solutions to meet the needs of the customer. These solutions will include coding and working within tools. Other job responsibilities include creating and assisting with continuous improvement activities, creating system monitoring and backup solutions, and assisting customers with technical issues
Essential Functions: Deploy and configure monitoring tools: New Relic, Science Logic, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
System and Application Monitoring: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to track the performance, availability, and health of systems and applications. This includes setting up alerts and notifications for any anomalies or performance issues Continuous Monitoring: Ensure continuous monitoring of the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, development, integration, testing, deployment, and operations. Performance Metrics Collection: Collect, aggregate, and analyze performance metrics such as CPU usage, memory consumption, network bandwidth, response times, and error rates. Use these metrics to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact end users Observability: Enhance observability of DevOps components by identifying when various systems and applications degrade in performance, cost, security, or other factors. Application Performance Monitoring (APM): Implement APM tools to collect internal application-specific metrics, integration details, stack trace errors, and more. This involves deploying code snippets using Node.js via developer platforms and collaborating with application developers for implementation Script Development: Write quality code to interact with APIs, perform Synthetic Monitoring, Query Data, Automation of Process

Minimum Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant work experience. 1-3 years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer Experience with Unix operating systems required. Experience with New Relic, Science Logic, or OEM. Experience with one or more Node.js, JavaScript, SQL, Python and PowerShell preferred.
Skills/Abilities: Proficiency with New Relic, Science Logic or Oracle Cloud Monitoring Proficiency with Unix Operating system, administration. Knowledge of scripting including one or more of Node.js, JavaScript, SQL, Python and PowerShell. Knowledge of Database Principles. Knowledge of Operating Windows or Unix Operating systems. Knowledge of Configuration Management: Writing scripts to manage and configure servers and applications. This includes using configuration management tools and scripting languages to ensure consistency across environments Knowledge of DevOps Practices and Principles. Knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring, Observability, Telemetry Analysis. Understanding of Source Control, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD Pipelines

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $108000.00
We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
Additional earnings may be available through incentive programs like annual bonuses, profit sharing, etc.
