We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Hanover, Maryland. The Sr. Accountant will play a crucial role in our team, focusing on account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. This role will be pivotal in the industry and will involve a variety of responsibilities, including maintaining general ledgers and making journal entries.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Handle balance sheet reconciliation tasks diligently and efficiently.

• Oversee bank reconciliations to prevent and resolve any discrepancies.

• Maintain and update the general ledger as needed.

• Prepare and record journal entries in a timely and accurate manner.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

• Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities.

• Operate Sage Intacct software for financial management tasks.

• Assist in budgeting processes and monitor financial performance.

• Participate in year-end close processes and audits, ensuring all financial data is accurate.

Requirements • Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Skilled in Bank Reconciliations

• Familiar with General Ledger management

• Experienced in Journal Entries preparation

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Capable of handling Month End Close processes

• Experience with Sage Intacct software

• Skilled in Budgeting procedures

• Knowledge in Year-end Close processes

• Experience with Year-end Audits

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and systems.
