Responsible for the design, development, documentation, and test of computer software applications that model ocean physics with an emphasis on underwater sound propagation. Interfaces with cross functional teams to develop algorithms and software solutions for high performance and high-fidelity ocean response in a multinode client-server architecture. We are looking for someone familiar with the physics and mathematics of wave propagation (acoustic and/or electromagnetic) and with engineering applications of wave propagation such as sonar, radar and/or communication systems. The focus of your work will be to develop algorithms that are computationally efficient and provide accurate estimates of signal propagation parameters such as time delay and transmission loss. Experience with numerical simulation of differential equations is a plus.

Maintain and support existing software baselines and system services. Implement, integrate, and document software systems, subsystems, and services. Support software testing, installation, and integration activities. Demonstrate ability to complete a technical project independently and as part of a team. Communicate clearly (written and oral) with engineering, program management and the customer as required
