Robert Half Payroll Accountant in Harbor City, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Accountant in Harbor City, California. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our team, with responsibilities spanning across numerous aspects of accounting and payroll processing. You will be immersed in a dynamic environment where your skills in accounting software systems, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Concur, 401k - RRSP Administration, and auditing will be critical.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the process of payroll accounting, ensuring accurate and timely completion.

• Employ your expertise in ADP to manage the processing of employee timesheets.

• Handle the administration of benefits through the ADP platform.

• Serve as a key point of contact for any payroll related inquiries and issues.

• Oversee the process of recruiting, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.

• Facilitate a seamless experience for new hires and departures by managing the onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented.

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with applicable regulations.

• Foster a positive work environment by assisting with employee relations issues, grievances, and conflict resolution.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and practices. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Payroll Accountant or similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is required

• Experience with Ceridian and Concur is highly desirable

• Familiarity with 401k - RRSP Administration is necessary

• Should be well-versed with About Time software

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions and Accrual Accounting is expected

• Experience in Auditing is a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle confidential information

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and Word.
