DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will function as lead in administering two programs that support the provision of educational services, materials, and equipment to private and nonpublic schools, as well as provide administrative support to the State Board of Private Academic Schools and staff. Program administration includes managing million-dollar allocations for each program, determining whether schools are eligible to participate, and selecting which educational materials and items that may be purchased with allocations. You will be responsible for accurately maintaining documentation according to regulations and preparing fiscal, statistical, and analytical reports related to these programs.

Administrative support duties include recording Board meeting minutes, preparing correspondence, and responding to inquiries via phone and email. You will be expected to maintain knowledge of Board regulations and private school law to help respond to general inquiries, identify fiscal or other issues, and assist with researching resolutions. Additionally, you will collaborate with the webmaster in the department to ensure the official webpage includes current information. Help private and nonpublic schools in Pennsylvania provide the parents of school-age children diverse alternatives to public schools with our team!

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. This position's current schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: work from home; and Wednesday: work in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
