DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 4, you will direct and oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of a department-wide grant policy, which includes the evaluation and selection of competitive grants, as well as policies and procedures related to e-Grants usage and management. You will manage and direct the administration of information technology (IT) related activities for grant programs, including the development and review of technical documentation to support grant solicitations and best practice documents and templates. In this position, you will coordinate and facilitate work groups consisting of business, program, and technical teams to develop IT statements of work in support of competitive solicitations. Other duties will include overseeing the approval process for IT solicitations and ensuring appropriate approvals have been obtained. You will also maintain oversight of the solicitations being worked on by this section. This includes providing oversight of existing agreements to ensure services do not lapse and assigned staff complete grant extensions, waivers, and requests in a timely manner. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This position will receive paid parking! Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. For the first four weeks of employment, you will report to the office three days per week. After successful completion of the first four weeks, you will report to the office one day per week.

One year as an Administrative Officer 3 (Commonwealth title); or Six years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
