Reference #: 4308859 THE POSITION The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is seeking hardworking Civil, Construction, Environmental, or Structural Engineering students for employment during the summer months for the 2024 Summer Employment Program!

This internship opportunity will provide hands-on experience and exposure to various engineering projects and processes within our organization. As an Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers and gain valuable skills that will kickstart your career in engineering.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to learn roadway, pavement, drainage and bridge designs; construction and materials testing; traffic systems design and operations; or maintenance asset management methodologies.

This internship will allow you to develop your technical skills, apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects, and work alongside engineering professionals who are passionate about innovation and excellence.

PennDOT Interns enjoy opportunities in various areas of PennDOT operations. Internship opportunities associated with this posting will be headquartered throughout PennDOT's Engineering Districts. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Work hours will vary based on position Some positions may require travel Compensation is credit based: Less than 90 credits - $20.35 Over 90 credits - $21.22 You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
