DESCRIPTION OF WORK In the role of Safe Drinking Water Compliance Specialist for the Southcentral Region, you will oversee the coordination of compliance and enforcement efforts across the 15-county area concerning all public water supply systems governed by the Safe Drinking Water Program. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting in the resolution of self-monitoring and operational violations, preparing Notices of Violations, and implementing compliance measures beyond a Notice of Violation. Furthermore, you will be tasked with entering and updating compliance actions in the Department's databases, as well as gathering and reporting compliance data to the EPA.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of professional experience as a Sanitarian, Air Quality Specialist, Solid Waste Specialist, or Water Quality Specialist; or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
