In this position, you will assist the Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) Manager of Budget and Fiscal Analysis to plan, organize, and direct all activities and procedures relative to DCED's budget and financial accountability; and ensure compliance with all legislation, management directives, and budget and accounting policies. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Fiscal Management Specialist 2 position involves preparing the DCED's Legislative Budget Book. This includes providing budget, expenditure, and complement figures for three fiscal years, providing a listing of contracts, and coordinating and review of program office narratives.

In this role, you will assist in preparation DCED's Budget and Rebudget Requests and establish and monitor the Agency's Shared Service budget. Assist Director with developing strategies for fiscal year spending, accounting, and fiscal year closing activities, implement and execute budget standards and processes, and evaluate budget and fiscal policies and procedures for business process improvements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 telework days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1; or One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
