Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Lottery Sales Representative in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Lottery is seeking an experienced, energetic sales professional to serve a specific sales territory through our Harrisburg Office within the Dauphin County area. Share your skills with the PA Lottery and help our retailers generate revenue to support programs all around Pennsylvania!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will provide product guidance and support to existing retailers while actively working with them to increase their sales. You will also use your sales skills to recruit new retailers, educate them on the benefits of joining our retailer network, and provide strategies that will help them succeed.  Best of all, you will be working for one of the most-respected brands in Pennsylvania and on behalf of a very important mission: to generate funding to benefit older Pennsylvanians. As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will navigate a web-based portal proficiently with a PC and iPad, read and interpret sales data, and effectively communicate with business owners and customers about the value of Lottery products and detailed information about procedures and the products. You will also interact and engage with players at retailer events, network with other sales representatives at retailer events, and have the opportunity to travel within your work.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch,  8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with at least one week per month where work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM to maintain operational efficiency and maximize service to the Lottery and the public. Overtime is worked on a limited basis. This position is home headquartered; however, you would be expected to report to the assigned area office on a weekly basis. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience in progressively responsible sales or marketing work; or Any equivalent experience and training.

Special Requirement:

You must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Additional Requirements: You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners. You must reside in one of the following zip codes within Dauphin County: 17101, 17102, 17103, 17104, 17109, or 17110. You must possess four or more years of sales experience. You must possess four or more years of customer service experience in a sales environment. You must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds. You must be available to work the required work schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM including at least once per month where the work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for one week. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
