This role is responsible for supervising and participating in the review and analysis of funds and insurance coverage information received from insurers and self-insurers on behalf of health care providers (HCPs) practicing in Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Medical Malpractice Coverage Specialist Supervisor provides a full range of supervisory and managerial duties to Coverage Specialists and other staff. You will have the opportunity to supervise a technical staff involved in the review, analysis and acceptance of funds and medical malpractice coverage information. This includes overall responsibility for the work of their assigned staff and measuring their productivity and quality of work. Work involves reviewing the coverage information to evaluate compliance with Pennsylvania's mandatory medical malpractice insurance law. Communication with Health Care Professionals or their representatives regarding issues with their insurance coverage as well as other state agencies as appropriate is vital to this position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. One day per month in the office is required, additional reporting in the office as needed. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Medical Malpractice Coverage Specialist; or Four years of experience in reviewing and examining medical malpractice insurance filings, forms, or policies, and two years of college or business school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which included two years of experience in reviewing and examining medical malpractice insurance filings, forms or policies.
