Reference #: 4558428 THE POSITION The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is currently seeking a meticulous and driven individual to fill the position of Motor Vehicle Program Supervisor 1. In this position, you will oversee all station mechanic support program activities and provide administrative support to the Motor Vehicle Program Supervisor 2 for other programs related to the vehicle inspection division. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of your role, you will be responsible for answering phone inquiries related to vehicle safety and emissions inspections. This includes providing knowledge and guidance to staff, as well as ensuring that proper information is conveyed, and regulations are followed. These inquiries can come from various sources such as inspection stations, mechanics, schools, legislative offices, state agencies, law enforcement agencies, and the general public.

Additionally, you will oversee a team of Clerical Assistant 3s who are responsible for managing inspection station and inspector information in the vehicle inspection system. This includes creating, updating, and maintaining the necessary data. Furthermore, you will provide technical consultation on performing vehicle inspections to assist inspection stations and the general public. You will also be involved in providing ongoing training for staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience in line management or administrative staff work in a public or private organization; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
