DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Police Training Education Specialist, you will oversee the development, administration, and analysis of the statewide certification exam required for all officer applicants prior to certification. You will manage the development, administration, and analysis of the assessment test given to former military and federal law enforcement officers seeking a partial waiver of the basic police training program requirements. You will also plan, organize, conduct, and evaluate in-service police officer training by recommending annual training topics, establishing learning objectives, identifying appropriate subject matter experts, managing curriculum development committees, and providing training to instructors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer that includes or is supplemented by one year of teaching or formal training experience in law enforcement programs, and completion of 60 college credits. Additional Requirements: You must have knowledge of instructional methods and techniques that include the development of course outlines, lesson plans, instructional materials, and examinations for training programs. You must have experience developing a law enforcement training curriculum. You must have experience identifying training needs and establishing learning objectives. You must have experience providing training to other instructors. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Ten (10) years of full-time experience as a sworn law enforcement officer. Five (5) years of experience conducting training for law enforcement officers. Two (2) years of experience developing training for law enforcement officers. A bachelor's degree or higher in criminal justice, education, or a related field. Legal Requirements:
