Reference #: 3092987 Summary/ Objective: The Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will identify, recruit, and screen potential employees for specific positions. Essential Functions: Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria Leads the job posting and advertisement processes Screens candidates, and selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with management team Counsels candidates on the interview and hiring process Collaborates with the hiring manager, executive team and Director of HR during the offer process in identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO), related federal/state employment laws and regulations, and company policies Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities Follows up with clients or hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful Performs other related duties as assigned Competencies: Strong business acumen, understanding of basic business model and industry trends Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Supervisory Responsibility: This position is not a supervisory role and does not have any direct reports. Work Environment: This job operates primarily in an office setting with the balance of the time split between visiting branches/warehouses, job fairs and attending meetings. This position requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, internet, smart phones, and photocopiers. Mental Demands: Able to gather information, use logic to analyze information and adapt well in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability and willingness to work collaboratively Ability to analyze workload and establish priorities with time sensitive deadlines Ability to make sound decisions and see buy-in from others Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Travel: Some overnight travel is required and the employee can rea onably expect on average 25% overnight travel to meet the demands of the position. Should travel be required a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this position. Clearances and Certifications: U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
