Meta Technical Artist, Metaverse in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Artist to serve as a crucial link between our artistic and engineering teams. This role involves collaborating closely with a multifaceted, interconnected team dedicated to crafting engaging, first-party infrastructure, systems, and tools for our platform aimed at shaping the metaverse.

Required Skills:

Technical Artist, Metaverse Responsibilities:

  1. Partner closely with the engineering and design teams to develop content across a range of devices.

  2. Implement runtime logic within a complex real-time environment with performance limitations in mind.

  3. Develop broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasks, including diagnosing and fixing bugs.

  4. Quickly solve issues with cross-functional leads.

  5. Design, manage and maintain the pipeline from artists and end users through to deployment.

  6. Prototype, profile and optimize custom shaders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated expertise with at least one of the following pipelines: Environments, Character, Rigging, Behaviors, or Asset Pipeline.

  2. You understand architecture for complex tools and pipelines with a focus on content creators.

  3. 7+ years of experience developing real-time experiences.

  4. Experience in shader languages (GLSL, ShaderLab, HLSL).

  5. Experience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniques.

  6. Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams.

  7. Experience working with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.).

  8. Expertise in at least one high-level programming language.

  9. Experience to give and take constructive feedback, direct next steps, and communicate clear goals and outcomes to your team.

  2. Being interested and informed about emerging technologies.

  3. Self-motivated, product thinking mindset.

  4. Low-level programming experience.

Public Compensation:

$153,000/year to $212,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
