Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist. Under the general supervision of the VR Specialist Supervisor, this position will be responsible for the statewide planning, development, and implementation of Early Reach. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position's responsibilities will include Early Reach program development, interagency collaboration, MOU implementation, conducting trainings/presentations, producing reports/statistics, and providing technical assistance. Work involves developing programs and creating procedures to ensure that OVR continues to adhere to federal/state regulations as it relates to Early Reach, Transition Services, and Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS). You will provide input to and assistance as needed in support of OVR state and strategic planning activities, customer input, customer satisfaction, and program evaluation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:Most employees will start at the beginning level of the advertised salary. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of professional experience in rehabilitation work, vocational guidance, employment counseling or placement, psychology, or social work, two years of which must have been in the field of vocational rehabilitation; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Graduate study in the behavioral sciences may be substituted for the required general experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of one year.
