Your Opportunity
As an AI Chatbot Development Intern with EBSCOLearning, you will work on the development of an AI-powered chatbot that revolutionizes how users interact with eBooks. This project aims to enable users to retrieve accurate, context-aware answers from eBook content through natural language queries and multi-turn conversations. This will provide the intern an opportunity to develop conversational AI features and explore innovative approaches to natural language understanding. Tools and techniques such as contextual retrieval, conversational memory, and user-focused design will be useful for working on these features.
This remote position offers the flexibility to be located anywhere within the U.S.
What You'll Do
Design and prototype features for an AI-powered chatbot that retrieves answers from eBooks.
Develop and test conversational memory features to enable seamless, multi-turn user interactions.
Create intuitive natural language querying capabilities for enhanced user engagement with the chatbot.
Optimize processes for retrieving relevant data and generating accurate, contextually appropriate responses.
Prototype and refine response generation mechanisms to deliver clear, detailed, and user-friendly answers.
Explore performance testing and scalability strategies to accommodate an expanding eBook library.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all development processes and findings.
Live the principles behind the Agile Manifesto and SAFe framework in all interactions.
About You
Working toward a degree in a computer science or math field or related experience
Basic knowledge of Algorithms, Data Structures and Programming.
Passionate about AI, natural language processing, and innovative technology.
Experience working with tools such as LangChain, OpenAI API, or similar technologies.
Experience with database management, particularly vector databases.
Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub.
As part of the EIS Summer Intern Program, interns receive a dedicated orientation program starting on June 2 nd and participate in enrichment and training events with fellow interns across the company. Pay Range
USD $22.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
